My name is Rhea Whitney, and I’m a professional writer, editor, and educator. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked as a web content editor, a K-12 paraeducator, and a college-level writing tutor. Now, I’m transitioning into working for myself.
I have experience writing in many styles—both fiction and non-fiction—and understand the basic underlying principles they all rely on, such as clarity, focus, and tone. My main concern when working with a client is ensuring that their writing tells the story they want to tell.

This is where I post most of my original writing, including short stories and articles. I’ll also mention other projects here as they develop. I’m a big fan of fantasy fiction, so that’s what most of the creative writing entails.

I recently started posting videos here as a way to share my interest in writing in general and queer speculative fiction in particular. At this time, there aren’t many videos, but those that are there may still be helpful.
